Only Demi Lovato is “Confident” enough to pull off two hairstyles in just one week. The singer went from blonde during her hosting stint at the People’s Choice Awards to semi-bald on Wednesday, November 18.

The singer debuted her new hairstyle on Instagram where she posted a photo of herself in a black leather jacket, showcasing her cropped undercut with a picture of the back of her head. She captioned the post, “I did a thing…”

Angelo Kritikos, Demi’s photographer, took the photo. He also took to Instagram to write, “Already obsessed with this new era” and asked teasingly, “Who wants to see the front?”

Many got curious about her new haircut thinking it’s a sign that her next album will soon be released. Fans even speculated that she’s entering her Bangerz era with the new hairstyle.

Siena, Demi’s wardrobe stylist, also mentioned about the beginning of a new era after posting on Instagram, “And to the next chapter…”

Meanwhile, the singer’s hairstylist Paul Norton told her, “YOU GOT MOXY KID.” He actually worked with beauty guru Amber Maynard Bolt for this style.

Only three days ago, the songstress hosted the 2020 People’s Choice Awards where she arrived with her signature locks and suddenly transformed into a blonde in time for her hosting gig. She arrived wearing a red pantsuit created by Naeem Khan.

There are those who believe that getting a haircut after a breakup can do you good and it seems to work with Demi. Her new hairstyles have helped her deal with her split from ex-fiancé Max Ehrich last September. In fact, the singer even joked about it during her opening monologue where she said, “COVID hit and everything shut down, so I did what everyone else did, I went into lockdown mode and got engaged.” She jokingly added, “I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert, so basically the same as everyone else.”

Amid her breakup with actor Max Ehrich, she referred to 2020 as a “s—tshow. The least she could do now is to save it by releasing her new album before the year ends.
