Time flies so fast! Who would’ve thought that it was only six years ago when George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot?
The actor is currently promoting The Midnight Sky, a Netflix Film. He was interviewed by CBS Sunday Morning and he couldn’t help but share about how his marriage to Amal has changed his life.
He said, “There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me. No question. It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me.”
He also talked about their twins, 3-year-old Alexander and Ella. He continued, “And then we had these two knuckleheads. It is very fulfilling and something I wasn’t at all… didn’t see coming.”
The actor shared that he and Amal never talked about marriage when they were still dating. In fact, he simply popped the question “out of the blue”.
He joked that it took Amal a long time before saying yes. He said he was on his keen for around 20 minutes and told her, ‘Look, I’m gonna throw my hip out.'”
In addition, they also didn’t talk about having children. “We never talked about having kids, and then one day we just said, ‘What do you think?’. We go to the doctor and you do the ultrasound. They’re like, ‘You got a baby boy!’ and I was like, ‘Baby boy, fantastic!’ And they go, ‘And you got another one there.'”
“I was up for one. Again, I’m old,” Clooney jokingly said. “All of a sudden, it’s two. It’s hard to get me to not talk and I just stood there for like 10 minutes just staring at this piece of paper going, ‘What? Two?'”
Meanwhile, Clooney claimed he’s not really enjoying being on quarantine but he’s happy that his twins have each other. He’s also adjusting to his life at home but unlike others, he didn’t suffer from cutting his own hair because he has been doing it himself for the last 25 years using only an infomercial product.
He admitted, “I’ve been cutting my own hair for 25 years. My hair is really straw, ya know. So it’s easy to cut. Can’t really make too many mistakes.”
