Gigi Hadid is returning to her job as a model two months after giving birth to her daughter with boyfriend Zayn Malik. If asked about being a new mom, the model said that it’s a job like no other.
The 25-year-old model shared through her Instagram Stories that she’s “back in the office”. The fashion industry is happy to have one of its top models back. Before she revealed her pregnancy, Gigi modeled for Chanel and Prada among other luxury brands.
During her pregnancy amid the coronavirus pandemic, she worked for V Magazine, as guest editor and creative director.
In fact, it was while promoting the first part of her photo journal for the said magazine that people first saw a glimpse of her baby bump. That time she was already expecting but unlike other celebrities, she preferred not to spill any details about her journey because for her it wasn’t the most important thing going on in the world.
Further, she wanted to enjoy her first pregnancy in private. She wanted to experience all of it and would often write in her journal about it. She also didn’t want to pressure herself into waking up daily or worry about looking cute and posting something.
She gave birth in September and since then she’s been sharing more about motherhood and glimpses of her daughter whose name hasn’t been revealed yet, although she calls her “bestie”. Fans started speculating their baby’s name but they have to wait before the couple finally decides to tell the world her name.
She wants to raise her daughter privately as much as possible. It’s also one of the reasons why Gigi or Zayn never posted a picture of their daughter’s face. She’s often covered or blurred just like their family picture during Halloween.
They’re living in her mom Yolanda Hadid’s farmhouse in Pennsylvania where it’s peaceful. She’s more than happy to take them in. In October, the Dutch model and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a picture of her granddaughter and captioned it, “My heart is expending with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above….. Thank you Mommy & Daddy for making me a Oma, I love every minute of it.”
