Dua Lipa is not like other girlfriends out there who like to flaunt their romances.
The “Don’t Start Now” singer is in a relationship with 21-year-old Anwar Hadid and many of her pop culture fans have been anticipating new updates, details, or even photos of the couple. However, the 25-year-old singer is firm in her stand of not sharing everything online.
Based on the February 2021 issue of British Vogue, the musician explained, “We have all these incredible memories and experiences, and if there’s something that we want to share together, then ok that’s fun. But at the same time, we’re quite private.”
Dua added, “We’ll only show you as much as we want you to see. It’s a little bit of give and take, trying to find the right balance of being so excited and being in love, and wanting to share that with the people around me, but at the same time not wanting to put too much out there. I want to be able to just be happy in this relationship without having other people’s opinions.”
During Christmas, Dua did share some pics with Anwar and his family on social media. On the other hand, he also shared a photo of his girlfriend in August during her birthday.
He wrote, “4 my love!!!!” LOOKI THAT SMILE!!! Woweeeee!!! LOVE YOU ENDLESSLY LETS HAVE A BLAST.”
When Dua was just starting her career in music, she kept her fans updated on social media especially on Twitter. As she became more popular and busier, the Grammy winner said it got hectic for her to deal with fans and haters.
She recalled, “I would get anxiety. And I was like, ‘This shouldn’t be the way that I’m experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime experience.’ It was messing with my confidence. I’d be super-nervous, wondering what everyone’s gonna say.”
Despite her fame, the London-based singer claimed her life remained the same. She’s still close to those whom she met long before she became a famous singer. According to her, life at home is normal adding, “My home life is really normal,” she shared. “The people I surround myself with have known me for the longest time. My job doesn’t define my circle, and that makes a world of difference.”
As reported earlier, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde sparked romance rumors after they were seen together attending a friend’s wedding.
