Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom last year and already she has touched their lives in many ways.

The singer shared her experiences as a mother via Instagram Live on Thursday, January 28, and how Daisy changed her life.

She said, “She changed my life and still continues to change my life.” She explained that despite her busy work schedule, she has learned to prioritize time with her daughter.

She also learned to set boundaries on her personal life. She explained, “I think that you realize that when you become a mother… you just have to focus on being a mom. And it’s not because you don’t love other people, it’s not because of anything besides you just want to be a great mom.”

She continued, “So a lot of stuff falls away when you become a mom and it is the best job in the world. I highly recommend it when you’re ready.”

In addition the little angel also made Katy appreciate being present. She said, “I see my daughter change so much in the past five months and looking back at photos it’s like, ‘Whoa,’. You see time in human form and it’s like… Now she’s got chunky cheeks.”

She reflected, “In a way, it’s really encouraged me to be even more present and to value every day. And all we have is this moment. That’s what’s promised is this moment and nothing else.”

Meanwhile, Katy mentioned that Orlando is an incredible partner. The couple never stopped gushing about Daisy since she came into the world in August.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star said that Daisy looks like him, Katy, and his mom, Sonia. He also told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in October that he’s very happy that their daughter inherited her mom’s eyes, saying, “Fortunately, she got those Katy blues, which was perfect.”

Katy also revealed that Daisy’s sweet gazes are making all the late nights and early mornings worth it for the singer. She also referred to motherhood as something as demanding as her career as a singer. She shared on Twitter, “Popular misconception: being a mom isn’t a full time job. When a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it’s not like they been coming from months of ‘time off…’ she’s coming from a full time job… of being a mom, lol.”
