After Evan Rachel Wood accused Marilyn Manson for abusing her throughout their relationship, the artist’s record label will no longer work with him.
Loma Vista Recording issued a Twitter statement on Monday, February 1, stating, “In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album effective immediately. Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”
Manson released three albums under Loma Vista since 2015 with the latest, We Are Chaos, in September last year. Also, the label has already removed him from their website as one of their artists.
Wood, who split from Manson in 2010, claimed that her ex abused her while they were still together. On Monday, the 33-year-old released a statement on Instagram. She alleged, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.”
In 2007, they became public with their romance when the actress was only 19. Manson proposed to her in January 2010 in Paris but less than a year later they also called off their engagement.
Wood added, “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
It didn’t take long before other victims came forward. Wood reposted that four of them were allegedly abused by Manson, too.
Wood tied the knot with Jamie Bell in October 2012 after ending her relationship with Manson in August 2010. The two share a seven-year-old son but decided to go their separate ways in May 2014. She eventually got engaged to Zach Villa in 2017 for nine months.
On the other hand, Manson got married to Dita Von Teese in November 2005 before calling it quit in December 2007. He announced in October 2020 that he married Lindsay Usich, a photographer, in a private ceremony early last year.
As reported earlier, Amber Heard responded to claim she hadn’t donated the money from Johnny Depp settlement to charity.
