The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards finally crowned the winners this year.
Major celebrities led the nominations at this year’s award show with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande at the lead with nine nominations each.
Machine Gun Kelly was the first to take home an award after besting other nominees in the Best Alternative category for “Bloody Valentine”, during the pre-show. Meanwhile, K-pop boy group BTS was able to sweep all four nominations they were in namely Best K-pop, Best Choreography, Best Pop, and Best Group. Lady Gaga also won several awards including Best Collab, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year. She also won the inaugural TRICON Award. However, it was The Weeknd who took home the biggest award by winning Video of the year for “Blinding Lights”.
