Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey!

CBS announced on Monday, February 15, that the talk show host will be interviewing the couple for a 90-minute primetime special which will be aired on March 7 at 8 p.m. It will mark as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first joint sit-down interview since their engagement interview on BBC News last November 2017. The announcement came after their Valentine pregnancy announcement.

So what can fans expect from this major interview? According to CBS, it will cover topics about the duchess specifically her life as a royal. They’ll also talk about marriage, motherhood, and her philanthropic work as well as how she’s handling her life amid the pressure. Harry will also join the two ladies later on the interview to talk about their move to the United States and their future plans.

Oprah is close to the couple. In fact, she was one of their guests during their wedding in 2018. She was also one of those rumored to have been involved in the couple’s decision to step back from their royal duties. The host cleared her name then saying that Meghan and Harry didn’t need her help in deciding what’s best for them. She added that she cared about the two of them and offered her support regardless of whatever decisions they make for their family.

The famous talk show host also shared on social media in December 2020 the gift Meghan sent her for Christmas.

Meghan and Harry, who have already stepped down from being senior members of the royal family, remain on the spotlight though they shy away from being interviewed. They made headlines during an interview with Tom Bradby for the ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, after Meghan shared about the scrutiny she experienced from the British press as well as her pregnancy struggles and being a new mom to their son Archie.

The couple signed off from @SussexRoyal Instagram account and also limited their public appearances to virtual conversations that tackled their activism and philanthropic works.

Hopefully, Oprah would be able to ask questions that everybody’s been dying to ask Meghan and Prince Harry.
