Days after Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker celebrated Valentine’s Day together, they finally made their relationship Instagram official on February 16.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared a photo of their intertwined hands and the Blink-182 drummer was to respond with a black heart emoji. He also shared the same photo on his Instagram Story. However, it seems that not everybody is happy of their newfound love.
Hours after making their relationship official, the musician’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler cheekily liked a comment on her post from an Instagram user which read, “Shhhhiiiii that broad don’t got nothin’ on you. Travis downgraded big time.”
Some of the model’s followers were offended by the comment and responded, “There’s no need to say that. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.”
Another added, “How about we stop putting women against each other. Kourtney is gorgeous like you should be judging. Not.”
Shanna’s reaction came as a surprise because the three of them have known each other for a while. The 45-year-old drummer is Kourtney’s neighbour and when they were still married, their children were close to Kourtney and Scott Disick’s kids.
Travis and Shanna married in 2004 but went their separate ways two years later. In 2008, they officially got divorced but tried to fix their relationship, especially after Travis got into a plane crash in September 2008. A year later, they decided that they were better off as friends. The two share Landon Asher, 17, and Alabama Luella, 15.
The news about Kourtney and Travis started in January. Her family already knows Travis and the two even spent time together in Kris Jenner’s house. They’ve been neighbors and friends for years but now they’re taken their friendship to a whole new level.
So what does Kourtney’s ex, Scott Disick, has to say about their relationship? Unlik with Shanna, Scott believes that Travis is a great guy and he’s very happy for Kourtney. He’s not even surprised that they’re dating and have developed a romantic relationship.
Kourtney and Travis’ love story may have just started after making their relationship Instagram official but their friendship goes way back and that’s always a strong foundation for a lasting romance.
