Now that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally decided to end their marriage after six years, many fans are wondering what will happen to their four children. Well, fans have nothing to worry about because the two will always prioritize their kids.
As the couple work on their divorce agreement, many sources confirmed to E! News that they have agreed to have joint custody for their kids as their way of making everything relatively normal for them.
A source close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said, “Kim thinks it’s important that the kids have a relationship with their dad and that he is a big part of their lives. For now, the kids have primarily been with Kim and living at the house. Any time Kanye wants to see them, he can. She is not stopping him.”
The source continued, “Kim is not sure what the future will be like, but she has made it clear to Kanye that he is welcome to spend time with them whenever he wants.”
Another insider confirmed the same sentiments claiming that the SKIMS founder and the rapper are still very much involved and hands-on when it comes to their kids.
The insider explained, “Things are as normal as they can be for the kids. Both parents are spending time with the kids and doing their best to make sure they’re not being affected by this change.”
Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from the Yeezy designer on February 19. Their relationship struggled since last year though they secretly renewed their wedding vows. They also tied going on trips and had marriage counselling, too, but they didn’t help. The KKW Beauty mogul decided it was time to let go and move on.
Another source said, “Kim was just tired of waiting. She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it’s just time to move on. There were no affairs. No one did anything bad. They grew apart.”
Kanye has been spending a lot of time in Wyoming since last year while Kim stayed with their kids in Calabasas, California where she gets lots of love and support from her mom and sisters.
The source added, “She has the full support of her family and dating isn’t on her radar, she is solely focused on her kids.”
