It had been a very crazy and toxic 2020 for Britney Spears.
On Monday, March 1, the pop sensation took to Instagram to reflect about the past year. She wrote, “I feel like God’s tears have hit all of us with what the world has been through due to coronavirus !!! This new year should be a year of cleansing our inner selves with meditation… prayer… any kind of hobby that brings joy … and being conscious of what we put in our bodies as well !!!”
She continued, “This all helps us to have a clear mind … body … spirit and offers so much more clarity in our everyday lives !!!!. This year I devote myself to lots of tea and healing !!!! I’m working on allowing myself to not be so strong all the time and to know it’s ok to cry !!!!”
She’s hoping that everybody experienced a “deep healing” since the coronavirus pandemic started in the country a year ago.
However, many fans believed that the mother of two’s post has a hidden meaning. The way Justin Mikita put it in the comment section, “We are devoted to the tea too Brit!!!!! We need the T!!!!”
Britney had been working hard to remove her dad, Jamie Spears, as conservator of her person and estate. She never talked publicly about it but those who are close to her as well as those she worked closely with opened about it in The New York Times FX docuseries, Framing Britney Spears. The docuseries revealed her struggles with mental health as well as the happenings that led to her being placed in a conservatorship.
The rather controversial docuseries also raised questions regarding the singer’s ability to speak for herself. In fact it caused some people to wonder if she’s the one writing her Instagram posts or not, especially when she posted, “Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens.”
Many fans are actually wondering if her captions are something secret messages they have to unlock. Maybe it’s just the way Britney is being Britney. Meanwhile, they will just have to wait for the pop icon to set the record straight herself.
