Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are officially parents after welcoming their first child together.
The two celebrities were able to keep their pregnancy news a secret until now though they’ve been together for a long time. Their baby boy was born last April 5 at 1.10 p.m. in Los Angeles and he weighed 6 lbs. and 14 oz. They also named their little angel Dakota Song Culkin after the actor’s late older sister who died in 2008 after she was hit by a car.
The new parents and their child are very happy and healthy. They said in a statement that they’re both overjoyed over the arrival of their baby boy.
The Home Alone star and the Disney Channel alum first sparked romance rumors in 2017. They were able to keep their romance away from the spotlight but they appeared several times on each other’s social media accounts through the years.
Culkin opened up in 2018 about starting a family with Song. He shared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, “This one’s a good one, so I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit. I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing.”
He added, “I’m going to have some pretty babies. She’s Asian, so I’m gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It’s going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that’s what I’m looking for.”
He wasn’t the only one who’s head over heels because the actress also adore the former child star. Last year, she paid tribute to Culkin during his 40th birthday. She referred to him as a “magical being”.
She wrote a lengthy tribute last August 2020 on Instagram which stated, “I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you. But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use instagram. Hahaha. My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”
