After Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce last February, Kanye West has finally responded.
Based on the court document gathered by E! News, the award-winning rapper requested for joint physical and legal custody of their four children namely North 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, almost two.

The 40-yar-old SKIMS founder also requested for the same arrangement and with both parties agreeing to share their children, it’s most likely that they’ll come up with a plan on how to go about it.
The 43-year-old rapper also aligns with the court documents that Kim filed in February. Based on his court filing, they’ll be paying for their own legal fees and both agreed that neither of them should pay for spousal support.
According to Kanye, the reason for their split if “irreconcilable differences”. He also asked that their shared and separate properties should be determined, “according to proof at time of trial or settlement.”
The former couple both stood by their prenup according to an insider who’s close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star. Meanwhile, Kanye’s court documents indicated that their separation is “amicable” as described by the source.
The couple’s relationship had been on the rocks last year and earlier this year, they were no longer speaking to each other as the rapper was spending most of his time in Wyoming. Kim finally decided to file for divorce.
Another source said, “Kim was just tired of waiting. She tried to give it a chance. She wanted to do this last year. She gave it plenty of time but it’s just time to move on. There were no affairs. No one did anything bad. They grew apart.”
Kim also made her children her main priorities throughout the divorce process. She considers herself as a mama bear who’s concerned mostly of the privacy of her kids and herself. She’s very protective of her children.
Meanwhile, Kim showed her support for Kanye after she was spotted wearing Yeezys, his footwear brand, during Easter holiday. Forbes recently named her a billionaire, too.
Kim and Kanye tied the knot in a luxurious wedding ceremony in 2014 in Florence, Italy. The wedding was estimated at $2.8 million.
