Ben Affleck was seen visiting his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez, at her house on Friday, April 30. However, they both made it clear that they’re just friends. Meanwhile, a TikTok user shared her own experience when she almost hooked up with the actor herself.
User Nivine Jay shared a video on Monday, May 3, where she explained about the time they met on Raya, an elite dating app.
She wrote, “Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on instagram”. She also included the viral song of Gia Giudice of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, “Waking Up in the Morning” together with the clip.
Nivine wrote the love story Cry Baby and played the role of a sorority girl in Neighbors. After she rejected the Justice League star, he sent her a selfie video which she inserted into her post. Based on the video, the actor was wearing a red shirt with his hair a mess. He said, “Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It’s me!”
Other TikTok users were shook with one of them commenting, “girl u better bring that to all job interviews.”
Another said, “The way he said ‘its me’ [sic] my soul would have left my body.” Nivine shared her own reaction saying, “Confirmed my soul did leave my body.” To prove her point she captioned her video, “Sorry Ben.”
E! News reached out to Nivine who explained, “I’m seeing a lot of comments calling him a creep and l don’t think that’s fair. l wasn’t making fun of him in the video. l was making fun of myself for thinking he was a catfish and it was just supposed to be funny.”
Ben and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner separated in 2018. Since then, he dated Lindsay Shookus, producer of Saturday Night Live, and recently broke up with Ana de Armas of Knives Out last January.
It’s not yet clear when he got rejected on Raya but he sparked dating rumors after he was spotted hanging out with his ex, J.Lo, who recently broke up with Alex Rodriguez. In addition to visiting her at her mansion last week, the former couple also attended a charity concert last May 2.
An insider told E! News that they were both backstage but explained, “It was all very professional and she was focused on her performance. They didn’t draw attention to themselves in the backstage area.”
