Emily in Paris is back for its second season and production started this May!
Netflix announced in November that the hit series will have a second season and it’ll be packed with twice the fun and drama.
Based on their announcement, which came through a fictional letter from Emily’s employer, “Despite her overconfident manner and lack of prior experience in luxury goods marketing, she has nonetheless managed to charm some of our hard-to-impress clients during her short time at Savoir. Call it bonne chance, or American ingenuity—I’m leaning towards the former—her results are impressive. We hope that by extending her time in Paris, Emily will further the relationships she has already made, delve deeper into our culture, and perhaps pick up a few words of basic French.”
So what can fans expect on the highly anticipated season 2? Here are some of the juiciest details revealed so far:
Different locations other than Paris
So the season isn’t focused on Emily’s life in Paris alone but also her adventures in Saint Tropez and other exciting French destinations.
Tough decisions will be made
Emily will have to make some very tough choices especially with regard to her complicated love triangle between Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat). There are dozens of twists and turns as not everything will run according to Emily’s expectations. Her American worldview will be challenged yet again.
Mindy will be singing a lot
As expected, Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, will be singing a lot in season two as she finally landed a new job by working in a drag club. She also moved in with Emily based on the last episode. Therefore, the two BFFs will be having more scenes together. Who knows? Mindy ay even meet one of Emily’s co-workers.
Emily is embracing French
Darren Star told OprahMag.com, “In season 2, she’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there.”
Gabriel is still very much into Emily
Lucas Bravo who plays Gabriel revealed, “Gabriel’s life was sad before she came along. He knew what he wanted but he didn’t know how to get it. He didn’t know how to be the best version of himself. Emily isn’t just Emily. It’s the first day of the rest of his life when he meets her. He’s so excited for what’s in store.”
