Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz are putting an end to their relationship.
The actor, 51, and the literary manager, 29, ended their engagement seven months after the Friends alum asked her to get married. They started dating in 2018 but it wasn’t until December 2019 that they were first seen in public while dining at a restaurant in West Hollywood.

Matthew issued a statement via People stating, “Sometimes things just don’t work out, and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best.” So far the two didn’t mention anything regarding their spit on their respective social media accounts.
In November last year, Matthew talked about Molly when he confirmed their engagement. He referred to her as the greatest woman on Earth. That time he revealed, “I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”
Matthew never tied the knot, ever. He used to date Lizzy Caplan, Castle Rock actress, for six years. However, they also decided to split in 2012.
Just recently, the actor joined his co-stars from the hit series, Friends, for their highly anticipated reunion. It was aired via HBO Max on May 27.
Many viewers noticed his appearance at the reunion and wrote some unkind words about the actor. Ben Winston, who directed the Friends reunion special told The Hollywood Reporter’s TV’s Top Five podcast that Matthew isn’t currently dealing with any health-related problems though the actor had been very open about his struggles with substance abuse for years.
Ben shared during the podcast on May 24, “People can sometimes just be unkind. I wish they weren’t. I loved working with him. He’s a brilliantly funny man, and I thought he had some great one-liners in the show. I felt just happy and lucky to be in his presence and directing him on something like this.”
On the other hand, Friends producer Kevin S. Bright shared Ben’s sentiments in a separate interview with the outlet. He said, “What people say is what people say. I don’t have any to say about that, except it was great to see him. And I think he’s very funny on the show. But yes, I think he’s OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.”
