Liam Payne and Maya Henry are no longer together.
The former One Direction member revealed on Monday’s episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast that he and the model already split. He was asked if he was singe and the singer answered, “I am indeed.”
He said, “I feel like more than anything at this point, I’m more disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people. That annoys me. I’ve just not been very good at relationships. And I know what my pattern of things is with relationships, I feel at this point. I’m just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else. And I feel like that’s where I got to in my last relationship.”
He added that he “wasn’t giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn’t appreciate and I didn’t like being. I can honestly say that I feel better out of it. I didn’t feel good for doing what I did but it had to happen. I know that’s the corniest way of saying it was best for both of us…but it just feels like that.”
Meanwhile, Henry hasn’t commented yet regarding the split. Payne said, “I hope she’s happy.”
The singer and the model were first linked in August 2018 after he broke up in July with Cheryl whom he shares a four-year-old son, Bear. However, it wasn’t until September 2019 that the singer confirmed his relationship with Henry.
In December, he talked about his life with Henry amid the pandemic and he told PEOPLE that “it’s been a blessing, but we’ve had our ups and our downs.”
He added, “It’s also been one of the busiest times I’ve had in my life, and I’m super grateful and very fortunate for that. But at the same time, it’s really difficult if you’re on the same floor as your spouse whilst you’re working away on your Zooms and you’re thinking, ‘Oh my God, do I need to go make sure you’re okay and give you a cuddle?’ “
“It’s a full-time job and sometimes it’s really draining, but she’s very understanding and we’re getting on really really well and having a great time,” he said.
As reported earlier, Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz had put an end to their relationship.
