Britney Spears took to Instagram on Thursday, June 24, to share more about her not-so-fairy-tale life.
According to her, “I believe as people we all want the fairy tale life and by the way I’ve posted … my life seems to look and be pretty amazing … I think that’s what we all strive for !!!!”
She got this outlook from her mom, Lynne Spears, explaining that one of her mom’s best traits was the way she remained strong amid adversities. Britney added, “No matter how s–tty a day was when I was younger … for the sake of me and my siblings she always pretended like everything was ok.”
Further, the pop star said, “I’m bringing this to peoples attention because I don’t want people to think my life is perfect because IT’S DEFINITELY NOT AT ALL … and if you have read anything about me in the news this week … you obviously really know now it’s not !!!!”
“I apologize for pretending like I’ve been ok the past two years,” Britney continued. “I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me … but honestly who doesn’t want to capture there Instagram in a fun light.”
Believe it or not, pretending that I’m ok has actually helped.”
“I feel like Instagram has helped me have a cool outlet to share my presence … existence … and to simply feel like I matter despite what I was going through and hey it worked,” she explained.
Britney is also grateful for the love and support from her boyfriend Sam Asghari. In fact, the couple plans on going on a summer getaway which the singer looks forward to after everything she’s been through lately.
She finally expressed her thoughts regarding her conservatorship. She felt relieved and hopeful that things will change for the better for her.
Sam stayed by her side and empowered her to in every way. He served as her rock throughout the ordeal and Britney is more than grateful for having him in her corner. The two are very much in love with each other and they have talked about tying the knot. They have future plans of getting married but first, they need to get the pop icon out of her conservatorship.
