Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian may no longer be together but it didn’t stop the 30-year-old basketball star from paying a tribute to his ex and mom of his three-year-old daughter, True Thompson.
On Sunday, June 27, the Boston Celtics star took to Instagram to honor the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star on her 37th birthday by dubbing her “amazing”. This also marked as the first comment he ever made about Khloe following the news regarding their recent split.
He wrote on his Instagram page, “Happy birthday @khloekardashian. Thank you for being not just an amazing partner, mommy and best friend but also being the kindest, caring and most loving human being I’ve ever met. Your love and spirit is contagious to all who’ve met you. Thank you for always being there for me and putting our family first. I love you so much. Have an amazing day. [two red heart emojis].”
Aside from his tribute, he also posted three throwback photos of him and Khloe showing them being affectionate and happy with each other. The first pic was taken during his 30th birthday held last March while the second pic showed him and Khloe cuddling on a couch while he was smoking a hookah pipe. The last photo was of the pair with their daughter True having a selfie in a car.
Though Tristan’s greeting wasn’t hard to miss, Khloe never interacted with his ex’s birthday tribute posted on Sunday. Corey Gamble, her mom Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, was the only one who liked the post. Khloe herself shared on social media some of the birthday tributes she received from family and friends; they didn’t include the one from Tristan.
Tristan’s birthday tribute is also the first time where he spoke up about Khloe following their recent split though he liked and commented two heart emojis on her Instagram post last June 25 which contained photos of her and their daughter.
Khloe and Tristan have been hush-hush about their recent split. They started dating last 2016 but he allegedly cheated on her while she was still pregnant with True. They decided to give their relationship a second shot but once again failed after rumors about his cheating at a party.
