Britney Spears isn’t new to paparazzi invading her private life but she’s finally setting her own rules.
The pop icon went on an island getaway with her boyfriend after appearing in court last week where she gave a moving testimony regarding her conservatorship. On Tuesday, June 29, she took to Instagram to send a message to her fans and the paparazzi regarding the experiences she had during her trip to Maui.
She also addressed the photographers who according to her took her pics and distort them. She finds this very embarrassing.
The 39-year-old singer said, “So being here in Maui is pretty crazy now, the paps know where I am and it’s really not fun !!!! It’s pretty hard going anywhere cause these silly faces keep popping up to take my picture [camera and rolling-eyes emoji] … but not only do they take my picture … they distort my body and mess with the image and it’s embarrassing [grimacing, flushed and upside-down face emojis] !!!!!”
She continued, “I know my body is not perfect but I definitely do NOT look like how they portray me. It’s rude and it’s mean so paps kindly F–K YOU AND F–K OFF [kiss emojis] !!!!”
Britney also included a video in her post with Lily Allen’s hit from 2009, “F—ck You”, playing in the background. Britney then posted the message, “If you are a pap, an or ANYONE in my space, DON’T TALK TO ME WHILE I’M TEXTING. IT’S RUDE.”
The pop star also shared footage of herself wearing a mask and a red bikini while walking along the beach. Further, she reposted a video from one of her fans featuring a show with a crowd of people in a recent parade in line with the celebration of the Pride Month singing to her 2000 hit song, “Oops, I Did It Again”.
She wrote, “THIS IS WHAT FANS & PAPS SHOULD BE DOING INSTEAD !!!”
Britney has received a lot of love and support from her fellow celebrities after her testimony last week. Just recently, her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and former husband, Kevin Federline, also voiced out their support for the singer.
