Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd sparked dating rumors after they were seen together at an Italian restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, in Santa Monica, California as reported by The Sun.
According to the outlet, “The pair reportedly spent hours at the restaurant, before leaving separately to avoid raising suspicion.”
There’s a possibility that the two bonded together because they both love Ethiopia. The singer’s parents are from Ethiopia though he was born in Canada. On the other hand, the actress adopted her daughter, Zahara Marley, 16, from the said African country.
Further, The New York Times reported that The Weeknd recently shared that he’ll be making a $1 million dollar donation to Ethiopia amid the tension at the country’s Tigray Region. In April, the multi-awarded artist voiced out his thoughts regarding Ethiopia on Instagram by posting, “My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction. The 31-year-old artist added, “I will be donating $1 million to provide 2 million meals through the United Nations World Food Programme and encourage those who can to please give as well.”
Based on their rumored dinner date, the Maleficent star was seen wearing a black top and a beige trench coat over it and nude pin heels on her feet. She also wore her hair down and had a mask on. She completed the look with a clutch.
On the other hand, The Weeknd wore a dark denim outfit with a black tee under his jacket. He finished the look with black boots and accessorized with a necklace.
