Kim Kardashian and Kanye West prove they don’t have any hard feelings towards each other six months after Kim filed for divorce. Just recently, the two spent time together with their kids and on Thursday, July 22, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star flew to Atlanta to attend the album listening event of Kanye.
The rapper’s tenth album, DONDA, will premiere at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a sold-out event. Based on videos posted on social media, Kim wasn’t the only Kardashian family member around. Their four kids were also present as well as Khloe Kardashian who posted on her Instagram Story.
The show was delayed for a couple of hours before Kanye, dressed in red from head to toe, came out and took to the center of the arena. This is the first time that his album debuted globally. He dedicates it to his late mom, Donda West, who died in 2007.
The program for the said event, as shared on social media by the attendees, read, “Mom West was a remarkable woman and a role model who we all dearly loved and cherished. We are fortunate that our lives crossed paths.”
A source close to Kim told E! News that Kanye talked to her hours before the show about a song regarding their marriage to be included in the album. The source said, “He was respectful and gave her the heads up.” The source added that the rapper “did not want to blindside” the SKIMS founder since the lyrics are very personal.
According to the source, the two are “easing into a friendship”. Kim filed for divorce in February after six years of married life. Recently, the two reunited and had a wonderful time with their children.
The insider explained that Kanye wants to “maintain their family unit”, adding, “Now that they have had space, Kim feels relieved that they can be cordial and spend time together for the sake of the kids.”
In June, the 40-year-old reality star shared during their KUWTK reunion, “I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away.
“I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan,” she added. “He’s the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family.”
