Lucy Hale has tats but she finally decided to have one of them removed.

The Pretty Little Liars actress took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, August 8 to share a photo of her torso with a sun tattoo. The actress decided to have it removed through laser treatments. The photo was actually a part of a series of pictures she posted to honor her sister, Maggie, on her birthday.

She wrote together with a pic of her sister, “it’s my sweet, hardworking, inspiring sisters birthday today & I’ll say it here…she could kick your ass, make a charcuterie board better that’s Pinterest status, all while raising 3 kids looking GORG.”

In one of the photos, the Fantasy Island star was seen lifting her top to reveal the sun tattoo on her torso which matches that of Maggie’s on her right wrist.

She wrote, “I’ve made her get tattoos with me (I’m sorry Maggie I’m getting this one lasered off).”

The actress has other tats in her body and didn’t offer further explanations as to why she decided to have the tat removed. However, she then shared another photo showing her and her sister with matching tattoos that read, “I love you” on their left wrists. Lucy confirmed, “but this one will stay” and added a heart emoji.

So is there anything special about the sisters’ matching sun tattoos? Based on her interview with Rue Now in 2017, they had them as a tribute to their late grandma. She said during that time, “I have a little, tiny sun that I got with my sister in honor of our grandmother.”

The two didn’t stop having matching tattoos back then and did it again in July 2018. The actress shared on Instagram a picture of herself and Maggie as they showed off their matching “I love you” tattoos. The said tats were also in honor of their relative.

Lucy captioned her post then by writing, “Nothing says sisterly bonding more than permanently tattooing your body. After years of wanting our grandmothers writing, we did it ! Our Grammy was our favorite person & now she’s even more a part of us.”
