Cardi B and husband Offset announced the arrival of their second child, a baby boy, on Monday, September 6.
Cardi took to Instagram to announce the fantastic news by posting a picture of herself with Offset with their new baby in the hospital and captioned it, “9/4/21”. Based on the photo, the mother of two cradles her son wrapped in a blue blanket while her husband looked on lovingly.
The “WAP” rapper debuted her growing baby bump three months ago during the 2021 BET Awards. The 28-year-old mom performed alongside Migos, Offset’s hip-hop group. For the event, the multi-awarded rapper wore a Dolce & Gabbana custom-made diamond-studded bodysuit. It has a peek-a-boo material with a cut-out in the center to highlight her baby bump.
Later, she confirmed her pregnancy through an Instagram post with a caption, “#2” which her husband shared on his Instagram Stories and captioned it, “Another blessing”.
Cardi and Offset has a three-year-old daughter together, Kulture Kiari Cephus. Meanwhile, he also has other children from his past relationships namely Jordan Cephus, 11, Kalea Marie Cephus, 6, and Kody Cephus, 6.
The couple secretly got married in September 2017 but three years later the Grammy winner filed for divorce following her husband’s alleged infidelity which started in 2018. He showered her with attention and did his best to win her back. His efforts paid off as the couple proved that they could still make their marriage work by reconciling in December 2020.
Ahead of her second child’s birth, Cardi and Offset had a maternity photoshoot wherein the Bronx native posed half naked with her hands covering her breasts. Her husband stood behind her and cradled her baby bump while planting a kiss on her neck.
She also had another photoshoot with her daughter, Kulture. They twinned in matching white gowns and headwraps and accessorized with gold pieces. In the photo, Kulture placed her hand on her mom’s baby bump.
She took to Instagram in June and wrote, “We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing. Our home feels so blissful and very busy but we are ready and so happy!! Thank you soo much everyone for the congrats and well wishes.”
