There’s no happy ending for Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes.
The R & B singer and the influencer decided to part ways just four months after welcoming their first child together, Jason King.
Jason took to Twitter to announce the news. He tweeted, “She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be. Pls respect our privacy in this time.”

This shocking turn of events left many fans in shock as it was only a day ago when Jena shared a touching birthday tribute to the singer.
The TikTok star gushed about him in an Instagram post which has already been deleted. She wrote then, “You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, silly, loving human ever. You truly make me whole and I’m so grateful for the love we share. You and our mini make me the happiest girl in the world and I can’t wait to make more memories with you guys.”
She added, “I know I’m a tough cookie but you make me soft and accept me for who I am and I’m forever grateful for that. Cheers to another year! I love you so much, forever.” She hasn’t addressed their split publicly as of this moment.
The “Savage Love” singer met the influencer at the gym before the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The two got closer during lockdown and gained numerous fans on TikTok where they shared all kinds of prank videos and other comedic stunts that entertained their fans.
Jason and Jena announced in March 2021 that they were expecting their first child, a baby boy, whom they welcomed in May.
The two often shared updates about their son Jason Jr. in their respective social media pages. In July, Jena even shared about their parenting experience. She wrote on Instagram, “When we have each other we have everything @jasonderulo. Baby boy is two months old now. He’s the best and is the most smiley squirmy happy baby ever and loves spending time outdoors we are so in love.”
Though Jason and Jena are no longer together, they’re committed to co-parenting their little angel.
