Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are working together as she prepares for her debut gig as host of NBC’s Saturday Night Live this Saturday.
The rapper is secretly helping the reality star and in line with this, many are speculating that the two, who are presently going through a divorce, may reconcile.
The two are currently in New York together. A source said, “Kim is nervous about hosting ‘SNL,’ its a big challenge but she is determined to be a success. Kanye is quietly advising her on her performance, her opening monologue, even her costumes for the show.”
The 40-year-old reality star was spotted going out of her Upper East Side hotel with a big Balenciaga bag in one hand. She was on her way to the NBC studios. Her rehearsals will reportedly start on Wednesday, following a Tuesday night host dinner with Lorne Michaels of SNL.
The SKIMS founder admitted recently on Instagram of the pressure she’s feeling after Debra Messing tweeted, “Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch.”
On the other hand, the 44-year-old rapper was spotted hanging out on Sunday night in Manhattan with Michael Che, anchor of the “Weekend Update” and comedians Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Busta Rhymes. They celebrated Talib Kweli’s birthday and Chappelle’s latest Netflix special at the Stand Comedy Club.
Although Kardashian has filed for divorce from West, they remain good friends and co-parents to their children. The reality star has been very supportive of the rapper, having attended his listening parties for his Donda album. In fact, she even appeared on stage in a wedding dress as part of the recreation of their extravagant wedding. On the other hand, the Yeezy designer has been giving her advice regarding her KKW brand and even contributed to her epic dress at the recent Met Gala. They had dinner in Malibu last week and were spotted leaving Nobu together in West’s car.
The two have been doing well co-parenting their four children: North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.
