They say age doesn’t matter, especially in love. Nobody knows this better than Priyanka Chopra, 39, and her husband Nick Jonas, 29. The couple has a 10-year age gap and they tied the knot in December 2018.
In Netflix’s “Jonas Brothers Family Roast”, the actress poked fun of their age difference. She said, “Nick and I have a 10-year age gap, we do.”
She continued, “There are many ’90s pop culture references he doesn’t understand, and I have to explain them to him. He teaches me how to use TikTok, for example, and I teach him what a successful acting career looks like.”
The “Quantico” star didn’t stop there and went on to say that she and Jonas became close because the love the same man and that’s Nick Jonas. According to her, “Seriously, I want to talk about how much I love my husband, and one of the things I love about my husband is how much we have in common. You know, for instance, we’re both totally, completely, wholly obsessed — and I mean obsessed — with Nick Jonas. We love Nick Jonas. He’s our favorite.”
The actress also addressed speculations about her marriage to the singer. She shut down those who believed that their marriage was nothing more than a publicity stunt. She joked, “How could it be? I didn’t even know how famous Nick was. All I knew was that he was Kevin Jonas’ baby brother.”
Nick’s brothers weren’t spared at all. Priyanka roasted Nick and her brothers and bandmate, Joe and Kevin, by admitting to the audience how she finds it so cute how they often post in social media.
She said, “I’ll tell you why, because all of them combined still have less followers than me. So I guess the most popular Jonas is @PriyankaChopra on Instagram.”
Finally, the actress ended her set with a very special announcement and one last jab at her husband, by saying, “Nick and I are expecting … to get drunk tonight and sleep in tomorrow!” This made Nick nervous before he relaxed and laughed.
“Seriously, though, I love this entire family. Nick, Joe, Kevin, you guys are amazing. Nick has changed my life. I wouldn’t want to baby-sit — I mean, be married to — anyone else, ever.”
