It’s a fresh start to welcome the New Year!
Billie Eilish ditched her blonde locks and debuted her latest look on Instagram. This time, the 19-year-old singer posted a photo of herself with her dark brunette locks. She captioned it, “Miss me?”
The multi-awarded singer also shared a photo of her new hair with bangs on her Instagram Story. She even teased her followers by captioning it, “guess what”.
This new look garnered a lot of positive responses from her followers. It’s definitely an excellent color that supplements her face. Many fans left emojis under her photo, which obviously translates to how speechless they are upon seeing her new ‘do.
One of her commenters was Claudia Sulewski who’s dating her brother, Finneas. She wrote, “Insane”.
In her recent interview with Vanity Fair, she talked about how her appearance plays an impart role in her confidence. She revealed that her black hair and neon grin tips made her feel too noticeable, especially in public.
She explained, “My attitude used to be like, ‘I can’t go out, I can’t go here, I can’t go there,’. I wasn’t able to go to a park or go get coffee, It freaked me out. But in the last year I opened up to it.”
According to her, it wasn’t just the hair that caught people’s attention. She said, “I was like, ‘I only want to be seen if I look like myself.’ So I would never wear anything normal.”
Presently, the Grammy winner is more comfortable blending in and more so with her brunette hair.
Billie got rid of her signature black-and-neon hair in March after her performance at the 2021 Grammys with Finneas. She and hairstylist Lissa Renn worked together and the whole transformation took six weeks to complete.
The singer explained on Instagram, “The process is real when you’re doing it right. 6 weeks to get all the black out of her ends without damaging it, along with her following my strict haircare regime. We actually loved all the stages of lifting color but the end result is [fire emoji].”
It won’t be long before her fans will get used to her new hair. Who knows? She’ll prove brunettes have more fun.
