Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, just purchased a house just across the street from where his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and their four children live. The former couple shares North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. An insider told E! News that the rapper “plans to tear [the current residence] down and rebuild.”

The source added, “It made perfect sense for him to have a place near the kids. He scooped it up right when it hit the market in early December and the escrow closed right before Christmas.”

Further, the insider said that the property is located on an acre of land that’s “perfect to be developed into whatever he dreams up.”

“It will take time to get permits and plans and he won’t be able to live there for awhile. But he is excited about it and so are the kids,” the source shared.

Meanwhile, a separate source told the outlet that the DONDA performer has been casually spending time with Vinetria, a model, at his new home. The source pointed out, “Kanye likes Vinetria’s company and has continued to bring her around his friend group. She has stayed in his house several times in the last month and has been invited to social functions with him.”

Ye is serious about being closer to his four children. In October, the multi-awarded artist listed his Monster Lake Ranch in Cody, Wyoming for $11 million. He still owns Bighorn Mountain Ranch near Greybull, Wyoming. According to the listing, the ranch is equipped with “excellent cabins and lodges, rolling grass-covered hills and meadows that are cut by deep tree-covered canyons and game filled bluffs.” It also has its own helicopter pad.

On the other hand, Kim has moved on from her split with Ye. Presently, she’s dating comedian Pete Davidson. She’s also the owner of the Hidden Hills mansion that she and Ye bought in 2014. Based on court documents, the reality star paid him $23 million for the property after they called it quits.

The rapper vowed to win her back as he said during his speech at the L.A. Mission last month. He assured volunteers, “I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.” He also mentioned that he bought a house right next to Kim so he can be “next to my children as much as possible.”
