Mary Crosby opened up about why she didn’t attend the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s reunion.
According to her, she bailed the Season 2 sit-down to avoid being beaten up by her castmates over the controversies surrounding her, including the accusations claiming that she runs a “cult”.
Based on a clip from the BroughChat Instagram account on Tuesday, she said, “I did not go to the reunion, because I was not about to sit there and be beat up from one side of the story and of the narrative.”
She added, “They said that I shine during reunions, so they held it back from me and they wanted me to go off at the reunion and answer all these one-sided questions that I didn’t even see coming, and I said, ‘I’m not doing it.’”
Throughout the season, her castmates investigated claims that she runs her Faith Temple Pentecostal Church as a “cult”. They also looked into the allegations that she’s manipulating churchgoers to give her money and pay for her expensive lifestyle.
The women discussed some of the accusations against her which she denied. At present, she has zero idea if some of her castmates were investigating these claims until she watched the show in real-time.
She said, “I never got a chance to express my side, to say no one even told me they were talking about me, no one even told me they called my church a cult. I found out on TV. I found out with you guys, no one ever told me none [sic] of that.”
The reality star added, “No one had the guts to say it to my face, all these false allegations. How on earth am I a cult?”
The rest of the reality TV’s cast filmed their reunion earlier this January. A source told Page Six that time that Cosby was absent because she “did not want to confront the controversy surrounding her this season.” Aside from the cult allegations, she was also accused of making racist remarks concerning two of her fellow co-stars.
Meanwhile, season 3 of RHOSLC is expected to start filming soon with the possibility that Cosby won’t be asked back to join the reality show anymore.
