Chris Evans got the online world’s full attention over the weekend after he accidentally leaked on his Instagram Story a photo of a penis.
According to Just Jared, the Marvel star shared a screen recording on his Instagram Story while his family was playing a game of Head’s Up. But for some reason after the video ended, the phone switched to his camera roll and there it was a photo of a penis. But that wasn’t the only thing that got fans’ attention. There was allegedly another photo that showed the actor’s face and the text, “guard that p—y.”
Moments later, the Captain America actor deleted the post but it was already too late because it quickly became Twitter’s number one trending topic. Many fans shared their reactions regarding these leaked photos.
Evans finally addressed that viral moment on Monday September 14 by tweeting, “Now that I have your attention…VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”

VOTE Nov 3rd!!!
The actor and Joe Kiani founded A Starting Point, a new organization that aims to educate voters in preparation for the 2020 presidential elections. It’s website states that it’s a “video-based civic engagement platform with an objective to “create a bipartisan channel of communication and connectivity between Americans and their elected officials with the goal of creating a more informed electorate”.
Aside from addressing the mishap on Twitter, Evans also talked about it during Tamron Hall’s show on September 15 where he was a remote guest. The talk show host credited the actor for encouraging others to vote and using that leaked photo to get people’s eyes on something more important. To this, Evans responded by saying, “That’s called turning a frown upside down, Tamron.”
He added that it was a very interesting weekend full of lessons learned and teachable moments. Further, he explained that things happen and it’s embarrassing but one has to roll with the punches.
Meanwhile, he received encouragements from his fans and also from his co-stars. Mark Ruffalo tweeted, “.@ChrisEvans Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See… silver lining.”
Also, Jamie Lee Curtis said he’s very proud of Chris Evans, adding he got his attention.
