Rihanna is pregnant!
The multi-awarded singer and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky are having their first child together. The news was confirmed after photos of the couple were published on Monday, January 31. The pictures were taken last weekend while they were in New York City. In the photos, the singer was showing off her baby bump while her boyfriend kissed her forehead.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been longtime friends for years but it wasn’t until two years ago when romance rumors between the two started to spread. That time, Rihanna has just broken up with her boyfriend, Hassan Jameel. She wasn’t ready for a serious relationship then. However, many speculated about her romance with the artist after they were spotted in New York City where they spend some time together.
They denied being in a relationship then. She was hanging out with him but they were not yet dating. Eventually, the two became closer than ever and the chemistry between them was undeniable.
In 2020, a source told E! News, “Rihanna is single. She just got out of a long intense relationship with Hassan. She wants to be single and isn’t going to jump into something. She’s hanging out with A$AP Rocky, but she is not dating him.”
Meanwhile, during an interview with GQ in May last year, A$AP Rocky gushed about his girlfriend and referred to her as “the love of my life”. With regard to his relationship with Rihanna, he said to the outlet, “So much better. So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
It didn’t take long before the couple had their first red carpet debut together. In September 2021, all eyes were on them as they walked the red carpet at the Met Gala.
Rihanna told E! News exclusively after the momentous event, “We weren’t even sure if we were going to go, so separately we were planning our looks just to be prepared. We ended up getting ready together and going and I didn’t even realize we were on a carpet together until somebody said, ‘You’re making your debut,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, s––t.'”
