Olivia Rodrigo and Adam Faze split after seven months of dating.
A source informed People that the 18-year-old “Driver’s License” singer and the 24-year-old music producer are no longer together. The source said, “They’ve been over for a bit now.”
The former couple sparked romance rumors over the summer after they were seen packing on the PDA at the Space Jam 2 premiere in California. Though they didn’t confirm they were going out, the singer told the outlet in June that she was a “lot happier now” compared to the time she was writing the lyrics to her debut album Sour.
She said, “I’m just constantly learning and growing at such a rapid rate. I’m writing songs and I’m really happy. I’m a lot happier than I was when I wrote that record, which is great.”
“I’m a lot more confident, which I think is a good aspect of growing up,” she added. “We’ll see what the next era brings, but I’m excited to start working on it.”
In January 21, Rordigo’s career blew up after she released her viral heartbreak song, “Drivers License”. Not only did she become famous for her song but most especially after she got involved in the controversial love triangle with Joshua Bassett and Sabrina Carpenter. Fans immediately dissected the lyrics of her hit song and it wasn’t long before they were able to put two and two together.
After an eventful year, the singer told People she’s taking some time off with friends. She said, “I can very easily get burned out and exhausted. And when you’re burnt out as the artist, I find it really hard to be inspired and create work that you really like. So, definitely taking time off has been paramount. And my team has been really awesome about giving me breaks when I need it, and letting me rest.”
“I love spending time by myself. That’s the best thing ever,” she explained. “But I really love hanging out with my friends. I feel like that’s really rejuvenating for me. And I love talking about stuff that is not music or industry-related.”- Advertisement -
This year, Rodrigo received seven Grammy nominations and will also kick off her Sour global tour in April. Meanwhile, she’ll be releasing a new documentary, Driving Home 2 U, on Disney+. She’s also a recipient of the 2022 Billboard Woman of the Year.
As was reported earlier, Kanye West and Julia Fox had also split.
