Meta has finally decided to put an end to Kanye “Ye” West’s Instagram posts.
The tech company decided to suspend on Tuesday, March 16, the rapper’s Instagram account @kanyewest for 24 hours after violating policies involving hate speech, cyberbullying, and harassment. During this period, the Donda artist is restricted from posting, commenting, and sending direct messages.
Meta takes action regarding accounts that repeatedly and regularly violate their rules. They will also provide additional sanctions if the rapper continues to disobey their policies.
After sharing numerous posts online, it’s unclear which among Ye’s posts violated the tech company’s policies. He has posted about his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson. He also shared about Michael Che, Trevor Noah, and D.L. Hughley these past few days.
Earlier this week, Ye posted on Instagram a picture of their daughter North’s backpack. He captioned it, “This was on my daughters back pack when I was ‘allowed’ to see her last week. This is why I go so hard for my family I am wired to protect my family at all cost.”
In response, Kim left this comment: “Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school.”
A day before, based on a since-deleted post, Pete’s friend Dave Sirus shared a screenshot of Ye and Pete’s conversation. One of the tests from the comedian read, “I’ve decided that I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the f–k up.”- Advertisement -
Ye has been posting about Pete and leaving negative comments on Kim’s posts. The Saturday Night Live star has been keeping his silence for a while but he finally decided to speak up and be heard. He’s not keeping quiet anymore.- Advertisement -
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February last year. She started dating Pete in November and since then the couple has been spotted together several times. They even went to the Bahamas after New Year.
On March 2, Kim was finally declared legally single and it left her feeling relieved. It’s a step closer for her to reclaim her independence and move on with her life. Kanye and Kim continue to co-parent their four children.
