Kristen Stewart is on Instagram! Well, not exactly. She didn’t create her personal account at all but instead appeared on her girlfriend Dylan Meyer’s social media account to encourage others to vote in the upcoming presidential election in the United States.
On Tuesday, September 22, Dylan shared a photo of Kristen wearing a t-shirt with the word “Vote” on it. She wrote, “I turned the mic over to Kristen because she had some things to say and doesn’t have her own account. Happy #nationalvoterregistrationday!”
The Twilight star said, “I never do this but for anyone who has not registered to vote please take this opportunity to feel HEARD. And not hopeless. I am voting because I WANT to believe in our country.”
She continued, “Because I believe in climate change. I believe in systemic racism. I believe in freedom of speech and the right to assemble. I believe in gun control. I believe that women have a right to make choices about their own bodies. I believe people have the right to live and love and identify however they feel in their hearts without fear. I believe that people care about each other.”
She concluded her message by saying, “So try and have a lovely Tuesday and vote for your f–king lives.”
The Charlie’s Angels actress was on an interview with Harper’s Bazaar recently wherein she was able to express her feeling about the Trump administration. She said, “It’s obviously terrible what’s happening but at the same time, it feels good to be part of a wider female community that is finally standing up for itself. I’ve never felt such a strong sense of community.”
Kristen and Dylan started dating last year after the actress broke up with model Stella Maxwell in 2018.
The couple loves each other very much. In April, Dylan took to Instagram to greet Kristen on her 30th birthday. She referred to the actress as her “absolute favorite person” and wrote, “It’s a short ride on this earth, spend your time with someone that inspires you to be the best version of yourself and lights your s–t on fire.”
Kristen Stewart wasn’t the only one who encouraged citizens to vote during the National Voter Registration Day. Other celebs like Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Aniston, Kerry Washington, Taylor Swift, and more also did the same on their social media accounts.
