The pop star shared photos on Instagram from their big day and her mom commented on her posts. She wrote, “You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
She also liked a post shared by Sam’s sister, Fay Asghari. She wrote on her page, “One of the most beautiful and emotional moments of my life was to watch my brother get married. I love you both so much @samasghari & @britneyspears.”
The newlywed didn’t respond to their responses or comments on social media. In fact, many of her fans criticized Lynne because of her post. This didn’t come as a surprise because she allegedly failed to support her daughter during her conservatorship battle. The abusive conservatorship finally ended in November last year, almost 13 years later after it started.
Many fans noted that she also liked an Instagram post shared by Britney’s ex, Jason Alexander. They got married in 2014 and separated 55 days later. He allegedly crashed Britney’s wedding and was arrested for trespassing.
A week after her conservatorship ended last year, Lynne petitioned a request for Britney’s estate to pay $660,000 in attorney’s fees and more that she accumulated throughout the battle in court. Based on the documents, she talked about joining the conservatorship as an interested party with Britney. According to the papers, the singer allegedly “enthusiastically agreed.”
According to Billboard, Britney’s lawyer responded, ”While [Lynne] had the right to hire and pay for her own counsel, from her own funds, this is, in effect, an issue between Lynne Spears and her lawyers, and there is no legal basis for placing Britney Spears in the middle of it.”
Britney accused her mom of “ruining” her life. She was allegedly responsible for giving her dad the idea of having a conservatorship. Jamie and Lynne divorced in 2002.
