The 25-year-old singer was spotted with 30-year-old Austin Kevitch in Los Angeles last Wednesday night. Kevitch is the CEO of Lox Club, a dating app referred to as the “Jewish Raya.”
Based on the images captured by the paparazzi, she looked hooked on the businessman as they laughed together. The two were dressed casually with Cabello wearing a white off-shoulder top, ripped jeans, and sneakers. She was holding a lime green clutch. On the other hand, Kevitch was wearing a black shirt which he paired with khaki pants and sneakers. He also has a gray sweater draped around his neck.
The rumored romance between them seems new as they didn’t exhibit any PDAs during their stroll. However, their smiles and the way they looked at each other while talking proved there was chemistry between them.
So how did the two meet? It seems that Nicholas Galitzine, who worked with Cabello in “Cinderella”, and the app founder are related. Breitbart mentioned that Kevitch congratulated Galitzine after getting the part in the said movie. He shared on his Instagram Stories, “@nicholasgalitzine making Lexi, Laura, Geoffrey, grandma Yaya, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ME a proud family for raising such a charming little make-believe prince!!!”
Cabello and Mendes were together for more than two years. They’ve also worked as collaborators. They were romantically linked in July 2019 but broke up in November 2021.
During their split, they issued a joint statement saying, “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for another as humans is stronger than ever.”
“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward. Camila and Shawn.”
Meanwhile, Mendes hasn’t confirmed seeing someone new after their split. In March, the singer shared a video on Instagram where he opened up about feeling alone. He said, “I think that’s the reality that kind of hit me. It’s like, ‘Oh, I’m on my own now.’”
He added, “Now I feel like finally, like, I’m actually on my own, and I hate that. That’s my reality, you know?”
“Which is like, ‘Who do I call when I’m, like, in a panic attack? Who do I call when I’m like, f–king, on the edge?’” he said.
He also mentioned having a hard time on social media after their breakup.
