Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are embracing parenthood.
The couple tied the knot in December 2018 and a source close to the couple revealed to E! News that the new mom and dad are “thriving” in their new roles as parents to Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
Priyanka and Nick welcomed their daughter on January 21 through a surrogate. Her arrival brought the couple closer to each other. The source said, “They are very in love. It feels like an ideal marriage.”
Priyanka, 40, and Nick, 29, are also busy with their professional lives. The actress is working on Citadel while he and his brothers are performing in Las Vegas. However, they’re able to balance work and family time. In fact, they recently vacationed in Turks & Caicos. They also shared updates on their daughter from their family vacay.
According to the insider, “They’re a “very happy couple just thriving, having fun and still living their lives. They work hard, do business, host social events and take care of Malti.” The insider added about their love lives, “It’s like Malti has brought them good luck with how amazing things seem for them all around right now.”
On Mother’s Day, Priyanka shared how Malti had to stay longer in the NICU after she was born. She shared, “We can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.”
She also thanked “every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles” who were with her family “every step of the way.”
She concluded her post by writing, “Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM!”
Meanwhile, Nick had nothing but praises to his wife on Mother’s Day. He wrote, “Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you. You are already an incredible mother.”
Last Father’s Day, Priyanka gave Nick and Malti a pair of matching “Father Daughter” sneakers.
