If you grew up with Buffy The Vampire Slayer, then you’ll be happy to know that Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined Wolf Pack, a Paramount+ series. The announcement was made on July 21 during the 2022 Comic Con.

The show is created and executive produced by Jeff Davis, who also introduced Teen Wolf. In this series, Gellar plays the role of Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator. According to the streamer, her role is “a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”

The new show is based on a book series written by Edo Van Belkom. The story follows “a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature.”

Gellar is joined by Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray. She surprised fans by appearing in Hall H at the Teen Wolf panel during the Comic-Con where she announced the good news. Davis joined her onstage together with Teen Wolf stars, Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin.

Gellar said, “It’s amazing. [Jeff]’s amazing. Everything that these guys said about family and the atmosphere of a show that Jeff runs is really true.” She then turned to the two actors and said, “I hope you guys come join us!”

Gellar’s last series was on CBS’ The Crazy Ones in 2013 together with the late actor, Robin Williams. She played Buffy Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003.

Meanwhile, Teen Wolf fans are also in for a treat. Based on the first teaser of Teen Wolf: The Movie, which was released during the Comic-Con, Scott McCall (Posey) rushed to a hospital to inform Chris Argent (JR Bourne), “Allison, she’s alive. She’s back.”

Allison Argent (Crystal Reed) is Chris’ daughter who “died” in season three of the original Teen Wolf series in 2014 after being stabbed. The teaser included a scene of her with her archery gear walking away from a flaming car under the rain.

Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, and Shelley Hennig will also appear in the movie. There are some new faces, too, but Arden Cho and Dylan O’Brien won’t be joining the cast.
