Addison Rae, 21, was scheduled for a press day on Wednesday, July 27, to promote Vital Proteins as the brand’s global ambassador. Unfortunately, the TikTok star pulled out from the event.
Interviews were scheduled on Thursday, but the media was informed that everything was canceled at the last minute because of “scheduling conflict.”
Many assumed that she backed out due to the drama surrounding her dad, Monty Lopez, who allegedly had an affair with a 25-year-old woman for five months.
In line with the cancellation, media reps were asked to send their questions ahead of time for pre-approval by Rae’s team before they were allowed to interview the TikTok sensation.
Rae admitted earlier this week that she been “struggling” since the scandal broke. She tweeted on Monday, “I’ve really been struggling to post and get out and do things but I love you all and you mean so much more to me than I can ever express.”
She added, “My life is forever changed thanks to all of the people who decided to care about me and support me. I love y’all <3 life is weird but worth it.”
Renée Ash claimed to Page Six on July 7 that she had an affair with Lopez that lasted for five months. According to her, she was “misled” by Lopez about his marriage to Sheri Nicole Easterling, Rae’s mom.
She said, “He told me that we were going to be together and have babies together. He told me a story of his marriage that convinced me that they were apart and in the process of getting a divorce.”
Ash also revealed that he left him because he was hitting on other women. In fact, there was a video of him touching a girl’s backside.
Meanwhile, Easterling, 42, shared on her Instagram Story after the scandal broke, “Personal matters being brought public are always challenging and overwhelming for anyone involved. I will be okay.”
Easterling and Lopez share Rae, 21, Enzo, 14, and Lucas, 8. She added, “My biggest concern is -and always will be- my children and their fragile hearts and minds. I will always do my best to protect them.”
She also changed her social media bio to “single mom.”
