Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio are ready to take their budding romance to the next level. Though they’ve moved on to a more intimate phase, a source close to the couple told Page Six that they’re “taking it slow.”
Multiple sources have been telling the outlet for a while now that the 27-year-old model and the 47-year-old actor have gotten close. The two have common friends. Recently, they’ve been spotted going out on dates without their friends and just the two of them.
According to an insider, they’ve “mostly hanging out with groups,” adding, “and solo a handful of times.”
They also mentioned, “[DiCaprio] is not someone who is in-and-out of relationships. He doesn’t jump around hooking up. They are taking it slow.”
On Saturday night, the new couple was seen attending an exclusive party in a Soho loft thrown by Richie Akiva, Leonardo’s co-star in “Don’t Look Up” and that of Darren Dzienciol.
According to the source, they were also spotted together last week but they were still in the “getting to know each other” phase then.
Leonardo and Gigi have met each other a few times in the past but they’ve never been romantic until now. In 2019, they were spotted with a group together with Gigi’s sister, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner at the Art Basel in Miami.
However, it wasn’t until recently that the pair was linked romantically. They were spotted hanging out at Akiva’s members-only Manhattan club, Ned, in July. A month later, they were seen together again in the said venue.
This new romance came about not long after the Titanic star split from Camila Morrone, his girlfriend for four years. The breakup happened a few months after the model celebrated her 25th birthday. According to the source, their relationship has “run its course.”
Leonardo is known for his reputation as someone who ends things with his model girl friends when they hit their mid-20s.
As for Gigi, she and former One Direction band member, Zayn Malik, share a daughter, Khai, who is two years old. On the other hand, a scenester source said that the “Wolf of Wall Street” actor has “been out every night partying.”
