Abby De La Rosa is spilling the tea on her “open relationship” with Nick Cannon, including how she feels of their relationship.

The DJ told Lovers and Friends podcast host Shan Boodram that “being in a situation, or polyamorous, if you absolutely need a label, relationship doesn’t mean you have low self-esteem or low self-worth.”

The model and the host share 14-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir. She’s also expecting her third child. Based on the podcast’s September 14 episode, she said, “I become hypersensitive when people attack me and my motherhood.”

She continued, “Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids. I’m excited for my kids to grow up and be like, ‘Mom and dad, y’all did it your way. And I love that.'”

According to her, Nick brought a “freeing vibe” to her life. She also revealed that despite knowing about his lifestyle, she was unaware of “the capacity of how big it really was.” Meanwhile, they haven’t confirmed the paternity of her third child yet.

In addition to his children with Abby, Nick also shares 2-month-old Legend with Bre Tiesi and 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey. He also shares Powerful Queen, 20-month-old, and Golden Sagon, 5, with Brittany Bell. Brittany is also pregnant with their third child. In December, Nick and Alyssa Scott lost their son Zen because of brain cancer.

Abby refers to Nick as her “primary partner” and that during her pregnancy she’s “monogamous by choice.” Many people believe her life is “out of the norm”, she’s still happy with her family and friends.

She said, “Naturally, yes, I can understand everyone’s distaste and disagreeance in the way that I have chosen to live my life. And I find it funny too when everyone’s always coming and being like ‘he’s playing you, he’s playing you.’ Technically speaking, we all know about each other. It’s just how much do you want to know, how much are you choosing to know. And I trust the connection that I have with Nick.”
