Tom Brady Receives Personal Day Every Wednesday

Tom Brady of Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a personal day every Wednesday for the first time in his football career. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the 45-year-old athlete is granted a weekly day off normally reserved only for veterans.

In line with this break, backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert will take over his first and second-down days. It’ll help Brady in enhancing his skills while giving him the chance to relax during the middle of the week.

Todd Bowles, head coach of Buccs, told reports recently, “For most players, it’s important. But I think when you play in the league a certain amount of time, and you prepare a certain way, it’s not necessary to practice that guy all the time. You’re going to practice, but you’re not going to practice all the time. You’ll get a day off here and there because it is a long season.”

In this new arrangement, Brady will be included on every injury report this season. The report will be updated on Thursday or Friday in case of legitimate injury as tweeted by journalist Jeff Nowak.

Presently, Tampa Bay has a 1-0 record after their win against the Dallas’ Cowboys. Based on his Let’s Go! podcast, Brady was basking in their victory, and he didn’t feel sore for long because he told reporters after a few days, “I feel great today.”

Though life on the field is great, the legendary quarterback’s married life is on the rocks. He and his wife Gisele Bündchen are living apart for over a month. As he continues to practice in Tampa, the supermodel has been busy in Miami and New York.

Insiders told PEOPLE that Bündchen was frustrated that Brady didn’t resign. She wanted him to spend more time with their family. However, another source claimed that the football star has been spending a lot of time at home.

The source said, “No other husband gets six months off a year to be totally devoted to just their family. And during the season, yes he travels for games and trains, but he’s with his family a lot too.”

According to a separate source, the 42-year-old supermodel feels like a “football widow”. The source added, “She’s a very ‘pros vs cons’ person, and she sees very few pros to him playing anymore. She’s told him that he’s the GOAT, and he has absolutely nothing left to prove. He could be going out on top, and playing until the wheels fall off doesn’t seem to be the way to go out on top.”

Brady and Bündchen have three children together.
