    Aaron Carter Dead at 34

    Aaron Carter, former child star and younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, passed away at 34 on November 5.

    The singer’s rep confirmed through a statement, “It is with deepest regret to report Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA.”

    According to a press released to E! News, law enforcers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a man who drowned in the residence at around 11 a.m. The informant, a house sitter, said she found an unresponsive male in the bathtub. She was told to perform CPR but when fire department personnel came, the victim was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, homicide detectives were dispatched and they didn’t find information or evidence of foul play. The musician’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet.

    Aaron made his musical breakthrough in 1997 with the song, “Crush on You.” He has an 11-month-old son, Prince, with his ex, Melanie Martin.

    On November 1, the police pulled him over after he was caught driving an RV erratically. He passed a field sobriety test as reported by TMZ, adding that Melanie was driving an SUV behind him that time.

    Aaron has been open about his personal struggles. In 2019, he shared that he suffered from multiple personality disorder. Anxiety, manic depression, and schizophrenia. Further, he revealed that he also struggled from family turmoil with his twin sister Angel Carter and Nick. Both of them obtained restraining orders against him that year. 

    According to his twin, he “threatened” the lives of her family while Nick claimed that Aaron told him he’d though of killing his sis-in-law who was pregnant that time. Aaron denied such allegations and accused his siblings of abuse. In 2021, he alleged that his family wanted to put him in a conservatorship, which they denied.

    Aaron was only 9 when he became a household name. His single, “Crush on You” became a big hit. He then started touring with Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, where served as the opening act. He eventually started his own concerts. He released five studio albums with the first four garnering the top 20 Hot 200 Albums chart. 

    Aside from singing, he was also am actor. He appeared in several shows like 7th Heaven, Lizzie McGuire, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In 2009, he joined Dancing With the Stars and also tried boxing in 2021.

    On November 3, Aaron promoted his new single and music video on Instagram, “Lately,” which is a collaboration with Mic Garcia.
