The public’s been aware of how much Britney has criticized her family members for letting her go through a grueling 13-year conservatorship. Just recently, she reached out to her mom, Lynne Spears, by inviting her to get coffee. A few months, she accused her mom of hiding caffeine while she was on her conservatorship.
She took to Instagram to share a photo of herself while she was on a trip to Mexico and captioned it, “After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!”
However, it’s still unclear to many if the “Toxic” singer was shading her estranged mother or she’s genuinely reaching out to her. It’s been known how much she has blasted Lynne on social media for several times.
In June, she accused her mom of “abuse.” The 41-year old singer shared then after her mom, 67, posted a series of screenshots to prove she’s responded to her messages in 2019, “Did you also tell people how you hid coffee every single morning ??? Did you tell them every morning when I would try to find coffee.”
Lynne has also issued an apology to Britney after her daughter suffered from “pain” caused by her conservatorship, which allowed her dad, Jamie Spears, to control her personal, medical, and financial decision from February 2008. He was finally suspended from being her conservator in September 2021.
She wrote on an Instagram comment, “I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you!” she continued, adding, “Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”
Moreover, Lynne begged her daughter to “please unblock” her so they “can speak … in person.” That time, she didn’t accept the apology but instead, the Grammy winner told her to “go f-k” herself.
Britney also surprised fans after she posted a sweet message for her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, on her 41st birthday. The tribute read, “It’s my b-day but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you ….”
She added, “Congratulations on being so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory in your show !!!. You ain’t alone … if anybody knows what that feels like … I get it. My baby sister !!! I love you !!!”
