Machine Gun Kelly’s guitarist Sophie Lloyd is shutting down rumors claiming she was involved with MGK. The allegations also pointed out that she was the reason behind the rumored split between the rapper and Megan Fox.
The London-based guitarist’s management team told Page Six on February 15, “Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media. Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue.”
Her team added, “It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”
The 27-year-old guitarist accompanied the 32-year-old artist on his 2022 Mainstream Sellout Tour. They were also seen together with their bandmates on February 11 during the Super Bowl Party by Sports Illustrated in Arizona.
Twin flames MGK and Megan sparked breakup rumors after the actress shared a cryptic since-deleted Instagram post on February 12.
The 36-year-old Jennifer’s Body star posted a series of mirror selfies and a video showing a fire pit burning an envelope. She captioned the post using a line from Beyonce’s “Pray You Catch Me,” which reads, You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath.”
An Instagram user commented, “I bet he got with Sophie.”
The actress replied, “Maybe I got with Sophie.”
After the controversial post, she changed the setting of her account to reveal three followings: Harry Styles, Eminem, and Timothée Chalamet. She eventually deleted her whole account.
Many fans speculated they broke but they were photographed spending Valentine’s Day together. Before that, the two attended the 2023 Grammy together where the musician was nominated for Best Rock Album.
The couple has been dating since 2020 before getting engaged in January 2022. MGK popped the questions with an intertwined diamond and emerald stone.
Meanwhile, a source told PEOPLE the two fought over the weekend and Megan is “very upset” and “won’t speak to” MGK. The insider added, “They haven’t officially called off the engagement but Megan took her ring off. They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.”
