Don’t get her wrong but Selena Gomez loves her Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars despite not being able to stay in touch with them for a long time. She revealed to her former co-stars David DeLuise and Jennifer Stone the reason behind her decisions, which she referred to as one of her biggest regrets in life.
She shared during the February 27 podcast episode of the Wizards of Waverly Pod, “I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made. I didn’t want you guys to see me in the state that I was in, because A, you would have told me the truth, which terrifies me, and B, I didn’t want to let you down.”
David found Selena’s words emotional, saying, “That’s really sweet, and thank you for saying that,” he said. “Obviously I miss you.”
As for Jennifer, she said, “I appreciate you saying that too, because to be perfectly blunt, there has been times where I’m like, ‘Did we stop being friends because I didn’t tell her what she wanted to hear?’ You know what I mean? So, I appreciate you being that honest.”
Despite everything, Selena affirmed that their bond will always be magical. She told them, “I appreciate you guys dearly. I love you so much in a way that I’ve never loved anybody else.”
The famous series ran for four seasons from the 2007 to 2012. The cast members loved the series so much and so did the fans, including Selena’s sister, Gracie.
The singer revealed that they’ve been rewatching the Disney Channel series together. She said, “She’s fallen in love with the show. Even before she was born, sometimes I would be by myself, and I would just throw on an episode to fall asleep to. I just loved it.”
Through the years, Selena has been open about her health struggles. If asked what she would tell herself when she first started in the hit Disney series, she shared, “I wish that I had maybe known how hard it was going to get. But to know that I’d get on the other side of it.”
