Amanda Bynes roamed the LA streets naked. An eyewitness told TMZ on March 20 that the actress, who wasn’t wearing clothes, flagged down a car and informed the driver that she was coming down from a psychiatric episode.

The 36-year-old “Amanda Show” star called 911 and she was taken to a nearby police station. According to the outlet, a mental health expert said that she had to be placed on a 5150 hold, which normally lasts for 72 hours. However, it can be extended based on the patient’s need. Bynes remained under the care of a facility.
The actress was scheduled to attend a ‘90s Con in Connecticut on Saturday together with her co-stars from “All That” but she canceled because of an undisclosed illness.
Meanwhile, her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, told Page Six, “She got off her meds, and she’s still off her meds. She’s wild.”
Her psychiatric episode happened almost a year after she was free her eight-year conservatorship. That time, she shared an Instagram video, saying, “What’s up, Instagram? Amanda Bynes here. My court date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all so much for your love and support. Peace out.”
Her parents, Rick Bynes and Lynn Bynes, supported her. Her mom served as her conservator while her dad was an interested party in the case.
Fans are also aware that Bynes has been struggling with substance abuse. Once her conservatorship ended, her lawyer shared that she was doing very well and was also looking forward to moving in with her then boyfriend, Michael.
In July 2022, the pair announced that they’ve ended their engagement, a few months after publicly accusing him of using crack cocaine and watching mom-and-son porn. The actress later clarified that she had caught him watching MILF porn but she also revealed that he relapsed his drug use despite him saying that he had a clean test.
After they split, Bynes enrolled in a cosmetology school to be a manicurist. She’s been sharing photos of her in-progress nails and some snaps of her classroom, too.
In June 2019, the former child star graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She’s also interested in making fragrances.
