Taylor Swift is reportedly dating Matt Healy, frontman of The 1975 months after breaking up with long-time beau Joe Alwyn.
According to Page Six, an insider alleged, “It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”
Although Swift and Alwyn’s split was announced only last month, the insider revealed that they’re already split in February, saying, “so there was absolutely no crossover.”
Not only that but the source also shared that the new couple is ready to go public with their relationship this weekend during the Grammy winner’s upcoming Era’s Tour show in Nashville.
The source added, “Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting but she cannot wait to see him again.”
The insider also claimed that fans are expected to see a more public romance unlike with Swift’s relationship with Alwyn which was very private. This time, the new couple “wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.”
According to gossip blog, Deuxmoi, they were set up by Jack Antonoff, Swift’s collaborator, stating that “This comes from another celebrity who messaged me last weekend and said ‘I had to tell you, I just heard that Tay Swift is already dating the lead singer of The 1975. Antonoff set it up.’”
Before this, Swift was rumored to be dating Fernando Alonso, an F1 driver.
This isn’t the first time that she and Healy were romantically linked. They were also rumored to be seeing each other in 2014 after she was spotted attending one of his band’s concerts. The two have been friends for years but the UK-born artist revealed in November last year that he collaborated with the singer for her new album, “Midnights.” However, none of their songs made the cut but their collaboration left a good impression on Swift.
As for Healy, he was in a relationship with FKA Twigs for three years until they broke up in June 2022. He was also recently rumored to be seeing model Charlotte Briar d’Alessio.
On the other hand, Alwyn has already moved on as well after his six-year romance with Swift. Actress Emma Laird was trolled by Swifties after posting a photo of the actor on her Instagram.
