John Cena shocked fans after news broke out that he tied the knot with girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in a private wedding ceremony in Tampa, Florida last October 12.
It was in March 2019 when the WWE star first sparked romance rumors after he stepped out in Vancouver holding hands with a mysterious woman who happened to be Shay. The couple shared very little information about their love story but proved fans they were together after being seen on red carpets. In February 2020, fans speculated they were engaged after Shay stepped out with a diamond ring on her finger.
But who is Shay Shariatzadeh? Here are some information you need to know about John Cena’s better half:
She studied engineering in college
Shay holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Univeristy of British Colombia. She told Avigilon, “I have always enjoyed math and physics. My brother studied engineering in school, and I remember one day he came home with a project and it was an autonomous car—and that was it! I decided to study Engineering.”
She has an unbreakable bond with her mom
According to Shay, “The strongest and most hard working woman I know is my mother. The biggest lesson she taught me was to be independent and fight for the things I want in life. She is the reason I fight to be the best version of myself, to be kind and to never give up—because, despite all the hardship, she always smiled. She is my hero.”- Advertisement -
